Guy Pratt's attempt to be God fails miserably.

Finally caught up and listened .....

We are all connoisseurs of the Gilmour sound of course, but did David ever play any better than this? The opening is very "old Floyd" and then after that famous 4 note motif it is probably the most "searing" I've heard him i.e at 3:43:30+, and then back to the new mellow take on the main refrain .... it really is all there .....

The fact is that the playing just got better throughout this tour and it looks like it ended on a terrific high ..... surely we have to see what happens next, don't we? Even David must be wondering, just a little, how much further he could take this vein of form, mustn't he?

I'd be really interested to know what he thinks about that, 2 years on ... maybe some journalist could slip that question to him amongst the reunion nonsense.

Thank you, Richard.

I wasn't prepared for how different this would sound to the RTN version (which I love). It's absolutely stunning!

[Anyway, your support of the indie stores will help to maintain the brick-and-mortar store as well as the art (and music) that is sold there. - NewYorkDan]

I hadn't thought of the art.

I do miss the artwork of vinyl. I don't even have a record player to play my records on anymore and I think they're too expensive to buy not to use them.
