Since I was a baby, I watched my dad listening to Floyd. I grew up having your solos as a background music of my homelife.
One day, when I was 13, I decided to learn music by my own… Firstly the keyboards, and then I discovered the guitar.
The very first time I realised I really could play guitar was when I recorded myself playing Wish You Were Here. From this day on, every Floyd album, song, chord, and every note of each of your solos started making sense. It was as if I had discovered something too beautiful, touching, soulful to be described. And in fact I did. Today I’m a 21-year-old weekend guitarist and I’m not being pushy when I say that tears come to my eyes and I shiver each time I’m on my own and listen to Comfortably Numb, High Hopes and Wish You Were Here!
My best wishes to you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mr. Gilmour! You’ve changed my life forever!!
I want to see you here sometime. I am just 21 years old, but I love the Pink Floyd’s music, I think that is the best music in the world, and I consider that it’s perfect, but if perfection doesn’t exist, its the most equal to that….

Would be awesome if you could plan on another On An Island Tour Part 2 and swing by Phoenix, Arizona – we miss you and your music greatly. I’ve been practicing my backup vocals and telling myself you’re never too old to be surprised.
Really enjoyed the shows at Kodak and Gibson a couple years ago. The DVD boxed sets are 1st class and get a tremendous amount of air time at my home!
